I think a much better approach is based on the genotype. If you have XX chromosomes, you are a female. If you have XY chromosomes, you are a male. If you have any other combination of chromosomes, you are intersex - neither a male nor a female. A man is an adult human male. A woman is an adult human female. These definitions are very precise, which is a virtue. They are inclusive where it makes sense: they don't reduce manhood or womanhood to conforming to a gender stereotype. Everything makes sense.

I define them based on their reproductive cells, sperm and egg. With chromosomes, if the trans thing didn't exist, people would be more open to intersex. It exists but gender changing is a huge leap. It expects people to accept something that didn't happen. How can a treatment be that everyone has to accept you? How does that make sense? Who consents to helping other people? "Sex is a spectrum." Where does that say you can change it? It's more bimodal than a spectrum. If you can change your sex, you may as well change your race because both don't alter lineages. You can know for sure that their mom and dad's certain sperm and egg made a boy. You can know the social race of that boy.
I don't like trans because it also reduces man and womanhood to a gender stereotype. Why does someone need to wear a dress to "feel like" a woman?
